My love for baking began over three decades ago as a young girl in my parents kitchen searching through my mother's collection of cookbooks for the next dessert that I would bake. At that time I would never have imagined that my love for baking would have continued into adulthood and brought me to where I am today. As a former graduate of The New England Culinary Institute I was able to learn about the science behind baking, expanding on my abilities, then taking what I learned on a journey through several restaurants from Vermont to Washington D.C. My focus; specialty cakes and cupcakes in which I use the freshest ingredients, with all of my creations baked from scratch and to order. My goal has always been to create an eye appealing finished product; which I hope my Gallery reflects, but even more important to me is the flavor - truly for me that’s where it’s at, and always has been. Whether it’s a Decadent Dark Chocolate-Peanut Butter cupcake raining with Chocolate Ganache; a moist Carrot Cake covered in Cream Cheese Frosting, Homemade Caramel Drizzle and sprinkled with Toasted Pecans or a Vanilla Bean Cake with Raspberry Chantilly Cream Filling and Whipped Buttercream Frosting; I want the flavors and textures to shine bright.
